Megan's 28th Birthday and Other Surprises

We had a good weekend while we celebrated my 28th birthday. It started off well, with flowers for me from a really hot guy!

It just so happened to be a good weekend for us to take a trip with my parents to visit our cousins in Cadiz, KY. Here are some highlights of the family fun and good food in Western KY!

If you know anything about Western KY- you know about Patti's Restaurant near Lake Barkley. Patti's has the best 2 inch pork chops among many other things. It was a yummy birthday treat!

Making my wish...

Taylor is getting big! At 5 months she is sitting at the dinner table with us. Speaking about eating... Taylor has a little tooth that is beginning to surface! It hasn't seemed to bother her too much yet but our Dentist says it should be poking through her gums in the next week or so.

She is turning over too. She is a pro at rolling over from her back to tummy but hasn't quite figured out how to roll on her back from her tummy. She is getting chunky too and with her cloth diapers- her bum looks rather large!

David's 28th birthday

We celebrated David's 28th birthday this Saturday... actually we kind of celebrated all weekend. Friday we had dinner with his parents and then had some friends over to watch the UL game. It was a victory against Memphis but we hope to see a better game this Saturday (which is my #28!) against MTSU. Go Cards!

Saturday we had brunch at our favorite spot, North End Cafe, as a family and then attempted to play golf with David. Taylor was tired and a crying baby on the golf course didn't mix. He did get to finish the game with his parents though. We did get to enjoy a fabulous adult dinner with just David and I Saturday night. We love Taylor but it was nice to go on a date by ourselves.

Tommy and Blakely Kute were in town to Baptize their youngest daughter so it was a treat to spend time with them too! Here are some pictures from the weekend...

A wonderful week at the beach!

We had a great time in Destin this year and got some well deserved R & R. The weather was perfect and we're not sure if we will ever go to the beach again in July or August. October was perfect! Here are some pictures of our trip. Enjoy!

Taylor was not a happy camper in the ocean or in the sand... She really enjoyed being held in your lap in the shade. Hopefully next year will bring more playing and less crying!

We found Harry T's after being for closed several years. It is now by a huge fancy hotel with a nice lady clown that painted faces and tied balloons.

David has a new camera that he has been taking pictures with- he is getting pretty good I think!

I wish we could move to the beach...

We do have some exciting news to share with you about our family... (no- it is not about David and me- please- Taylor is only 4 months!) Mark and Shannon are expecting another baby in May.
