Hello Fall!

Hello!  Somehow 2 months have passed and I'm just now getting this entry sent out.  I have been working on it since Sunday- and here it is Thursday and I'm just now getting around to sending it.  We've had a nice start to fall so far and I hope you all have too!

If you know me well- you know I am NOT creative.  But thanks to Pinterest- I am able to show I may have some artistic ability!  With David's help- I was able to decorate our mantle and I have to say I'm pretty proud I (we) pulled this off!

I blame this on my Mom and Mother in Law!  They love to play in the dirt and my kiddos have acquired a liking for playing in the dirt too!  This has lead to many stains in many outfits!
Sorry the picture is blurry.  They move too fast for my simple iPhone camera.  There are several blurry ones on this entry.

This gets me every time!

Happy 100th birthday to Aunt Frances!  In the beginning of October we traveled to Pittsburgh, PA to celebrate with Aunt Frances.  This is my Dad's Aunt on his Mother's side.  We were also able to celebrate with family we haven't seen in years... it was such a nice surprise!

Blurry I know:(  Ben somehow erased my good picture on my phone.  I'll have to get someone to send me a better copy.

And here we are with Aunt Frances at her Church.  She is with her great Niece, and great great Niece and Nephew!

Dad took us around the part of town where he grew up.  (Funny enough my Dad and David's parents grew up in Pitt, PA!)  His family owned a small grocery store and we went back to visit.  Here he is in front.  It is now a smoke shop, but Dad was able to show us the lay out of the store and where they lived in the back of the store. I've heard stories growing up about the store so it was pretty neat to see it in person.

Happy Birthday to David and Me!  His parents took us out to celebrate for his birthday and my parent babysat so we could go on a date for my birthday!  (We are only one week apart!) Here we are with David's brother, our sister in law, their baby girl, and David's cousin.

Oh Hubers- how we've missed you!  This is our second year in our fall tradition of meeting the Harrison family at Hubers to pick pumpkins, apples, and eat yummy food.  We look forward to it now every year!

On the tractor to get some pumpkins...

Ben found his!
Ben loves Jason a lot!
The rest of us waiting for the tractor to pick some apples...

Ahhh... and now our hard work has paid off!  Here, Taylor is dipping her roll in apple butter.  My Dad introduced me to apple butter when we went to Hubers when I was a little girl.  It is yummy and I thought it was sweet that Taylor likes it too!

I had been patiently waiting for Eva to warm up to me.  My patience paid off and I got a kiss!

I got to be part of the working world for 2 days!  Thanks to my Mother in Law, I was able to sit in for my college at a local college fair.  I loved meeting the students and sharing with them the great aspects of Kentucky Wesleyan.  I had a great time in the working world and am looking forward to being part of it again one day!  I had a surprise visitor who just happens to be a honorary Kentucky Wesleyan Alumni!  He also is Kentucky's current Lt. Governor. Jerry Abramson was Louisville's Mayor for more years than I can count.  He had a long stint while I was growing up and then another while I was an adult.  He also is a long time Crescent Hill native like myself so we had lots to chat about.  His assistant "tweeted" about me and I thought that was pretty cool!

Taylor's friend, Ava, after dance class.  Ava's mom, Erika, and I have been friends since middle school and we took the girls out to eat after dance.  Since Taylor has started dance class- she dances and sings everywhere.  At parent teacher conferences this week- her teachers report she dances all day, in the the classroom, gym, and outside.  They were laughing hysterically as they were telling me more about our sassy lady... oh I hope they can shape her up for kindergarten in the fall!

I probably work out at the YMCA three days a week on average- so my kids are accustom to hanging out while I work out.  Here is Ben jumping on one of his favorite teachers, Miss Rachel.  He thought this was so funny- I could hear his laughter from the other side of this glass wall.

 Cheese!

And basketball season has begun!

David came out with his first groupon for Invisalign in October.  He received great response and I'm so proud of the work he is doing.  He had another one come out this past week for other dental work too.  You know when you look at someone and you're just really proud of the work they do and the person they have become?  That is how I feel about David!

The kids and I often lunch at a restaurant, "The Cafe".  It was a gorgeous fall day and the place was packed- so the kids grabbed some coloring books and made them selves at home on the patio.

I came outside to check on the kids and I found them laying in their leaf pile looking up at the clouds.  Taylor thought this one looked like a fish- and because Ben does everything Taylor does... he thought he saw a fish too!

Ben does not like jelly beans.  He left this for me to clean up I suppose...

At 4- Taylor understands how to play Candy Land... mostly.  Ben on the other hand only wants the blue cards because blue is his favorite color.  When he picked an orange card or even a double purple- he whined and said, "No, I want blue!"

Ahhh... we've been waiting for this wedding for so long!  Ashley and Logan finally tied the knot!  Here is the lovely bride getting into the trolley after our last round of pictures.  On our way to the Church!  It was a beautiful wedding- perfectly planned with every "t" crossed and every "i" dotted!

The bride with me!  I lived with Ashley after college until I married David.  She is a keeper!

Trick or Treat!!!

The story of the tooth fairy and the dinosaur.  You haven't heard that one?  Well- aren't they cute!  You can't see it very well- but Taylor has a tooth necklace and a giant size tooth brush!

David posed as a tailgater... this was just a font so he could drink beer while trick or treating.  He did pull the kids in the wagon which was a brilliant idea!

Our sweet neighbor Lion and super hero!

Go CARDS!!!!!  We are on a roll this year folks!  I won't say too much more in fear of jinxing us- but we're doing so well this season that I will continue to bundle up for our game at the end of November against Connecticut!

As always I hope this finds you well.  I truly enjoy updating you all on our family and fun things we get into.  (Although my pictures are blurry- I'm glad to share them with you.)  Here's to a wonderful Thanksgiving season!  And on that note I wanted to post a short note on what I am thankful for since my Facebook hoomies are doing it everyday and I can't keep up...

It's times like these in my life so far I find my self unable to express in words what I actually am thankful for... Of course I'm thankful for my family- David, my children, our parents, his siblings and their families, etc.  I'm thankful for a country where I can express my faith and wear my bumper sticker (magnet really) in support of our President.  But more so than anything- I just feel so blessed and have tears in my eyes just thinking about how to express it- but words just can't do it.  So please know that if you're reading this... I'm thankful for you- and that you're in our lives.  It's a very special thing!  Love to you all!
