Will Whiteside ties the knot!

This weekend we traveled to Glasgow KY. David's good friend from dental school, Will Whiteside got married. (Will also lived with David for about two years before David and I got married.) The wedding was beautiful and we had a good time visiting with friends!

Will and Sara were married at her parents home in Glasgow, KY. Her parents live on top of a beautiful hill side over looking Barren River. The wedding was beautiful.

The view from our seats.

And the sunset...

Good friends from dental school... Jeff Dickson, David, Jason Deal, Will the groom, and Drew Champagne.

The picture is blury- but here the guys are with their better halves! The bride, Sara, was gorgeous.

Taylor and our neighbor Kilborne.
Kilborne's parents are also from Glasgow, Adam and Natalie Whiteside.

Well~ I think we all have had some aftermaths of Hurricane Ike. We in Louisville are pretty lucky considering, but there are at least 100,000 still without power. David and I, our parents and friends, have been without power since Sunday afternoon. Thank God the weather is cool. Living with no TV and no computer has been a good challenge for our marriage. We have had lots of time to talk and we have an ongoing gin rummy tournament going. I did go to Starbucks to bum the internet and to check emails. I had to wait ten minutes for an outlet to plug my computer in. Luckily, this is the only tragedy we have experienced. We have to remember to the entire world in our prayers. We hope everyone is doing well and that you are safe. Take Care and you will hear from us soon! ~Megan, David, Taylor, and Bailey!

Labor Day Weekend

We had a great long weekend and we hope you did too! We started our weekend with a good old high school ST. X football game... Then more football- visitors and our first dip in the pool.

Uncle Jon came to visit in hopes to find an internship to complete his semester from law school. He was successful and did find an internship. We are so proud of him!

She is getting big! She needs a little help to sit up on her own but really enjoys sitting up like a big girl!

Our friends Katy and Jason came into town for the big game. Tailgating was fun and really hot. Unfortunately the heat only paid off for the Cat fans. I guess it would be nice to clarify that although Katy and Jason aren't wearing a lot of blue- they are indeed Cat fans. I think all UL fans are looking forward to basketball season....

Despite the heat- there were lots of fan and lots of red!
On Labor Day morning- we all slept in. Taylor woke up at 8am and I brought her into bed with us. I woke up at 9:30am and David and Taylor slept in until 10:15am. If you believe it- David woke up first and then the baby.
And here is Taylor's first dip in the pool. The Hitron family shared their pool with us. If you look closely at her face she was not loving it. The water was a little cold for her but she was a trooper. We will have to keep working on it!
Well- we wish you all a wonderful week and a break in the heat. Please keep our friends Blakely and Tommy in your thoughts and prayers. They are expecting a little baby sometime in the very near future. Blakely is hanging in there but it is hot outside and she is 38 weeks pregnant. We are thinking of you all- Take Care! ~Megan, David, Taylor, and Bailey~
