It's Derby Day! Happy Derby to you and yours! The boys went to see Endgame, The new Avengers movie. Taylor suggested the girls go to brunch at our favorite spot, North End Cafe- so we did! Here are a couple picture of the track and yours truly. There is so much energy in Louisville this week. It is the best time of year in the Ville! We ventured down to the track on Thursday with neighbors and friends. Thursday is getting more crowed and it seems the locals are dressing up and heading to the track earlier and earlier to get their Derby in!
Speaking of the Derby... We said good-bye to our dear friends in November who love Derby time more than most. Tommy and Blakely packed up and relocated to New Orleans for her job. Tommy is an Architect and is able to work from most anywhere. They are enjoying New Orleans but the Bluegrass misses them. We are looking forward to our visit with them in a couple weeks!
In November, Dr. Mark was honored by the Dental School at UofL. It was very special!
I continue my volunteer work with the YMCA. We attended a fundraiser for our downtown Y and spent a night at our new Omni in town. Thanks to Grandparents for keeping our kiddos so we could have a night off!
Taylor performed in her first program at Turners, the gym where she takes acrobatics. She has fallen in love with the place and she'd live there if she could. I'm partial- but she is killing it!
Our kids throw tantrums and they are super spoiled we admit. They have sassy attitudes, act like we cut their toe off when we ask them to take out the trash and recycling, and are addicted to electronics but Santa still came this year!
We try to balance outside fresh air with the amount of screen time our kids watch. It seems the world is pushing more electronics in their little faces every day. It is a battle. But we try to keep them busy with the activities they enjoy.
David's Dad took him and his brothers to California for a golf trip. They have a horrible time every year!
And WELCOME to Jackson James Schulte born March 13th 2019 to proud parents Jon and Rebecca!
He is so loved!
Taylor performed in the Turners Circus too. It was a huge circus with almost 200 performers. It was a great show!
And the best part is that our cousins were all here on spring break to see her perform!
David took me to on a surprise overnight trip to Nashville to see Zac Brown Band. The only band we really agree on!
On spring break we took a little R&R at the Schutles' lake house. We also ventured to Butt Drugs. Our kids can't say it with a straight face. It has an old fashioned soda fountain!
Ben turned 9 on January 27th.
When they say time flies... they mean it. Taylor turns 11 on the 16th and starts the 6th grade in the fall. Molly turns 6 on the 30th. We are blessed. Kids are healthy and smart. David has coached all three kids in soccer and basketball this year.
Schulte Family Dentistry is doing very well. David is a good leader with a passionate heart when it comes to treating his patients. His Dad continues to be a sounding board for us and works two and a half days a week still. I am there 2- 3 days a week helping up front and am moving more into a human resources role.
I am the current chair of the Annual Campaign for the Northeast YMCA. We raised a whopping $332,000 for 24 community programs. Thank you if you gave to the giving campaign!!! David has organized an adult pick up basketball night a our church while I lead a Bible Study on Wednesday evenings. We are staying busy but enjoying life. We hope you and your families are doing well and we hope to see you soon!
Love and Laughter~
Megan!
