Happy Fall!

We are excited about pumpkins ("pun-kn"), hot chocolate, and warm chili on cool football days. Although our UL Cards are struggling this season- we have other things to make us happy. We are enjoying every minute of Taylor that we possibly can. She is talking more and more, screaming more and more, and learning so much. She loves her parents' day out program and is doing well. (Although we made the decision to pull her for a couple weeks until I get my swine flu vaccine. The news freaks me out about H1N1 and I'm at a greater risk now that I'm pregnant.) Taylor is truly a joy to be around. She is also getting a lot of quality time with all grandparents and loves slumber parties at their homes.
Baby Ben is doing well. He weighs about one pound and a half. We have just moved into our 3rd trimester and he's kicking more and more. I am feeling well with lots of energy, which is good, and I hope it lasts!

Our new house does not feel new anymore, but more like a home. We have slowly made it a very comfortable place to be a family. Our next project is to transition Taylor into her "big girl" purple room. We hope to have this done by Christmas.

Our wonderful neighbors, the Dickmans, gave us this fabulous kitchen. Taylor LOVES it so much! We are so grateful for them sharing this wonderful kitchen with us! Thank You!

Her friends had to come over to play in her new kitchen! They had mac & cheese together and everyone sitting in highchairs was too much! (L to R, Ava, Avani, and T) David was home during this "play date" and he always stayed in the other room... I can't understand why he didn't want to be with three little girls pushing and shoving and saying, "NO!" It was quite a sight- but we had lots of fun!

This is my friend, Sujata, and her daughter girl, Avani. Our girls had a Halloween party and had a great time although it looks like they'd like to be anywhere but here!

David chose to stay home and watch football on his birthday (the 11th). We all took long winter naps and watched football with him. Taylor and I needed a snack after our naps! (Bailey remains hopeful....)

For my birthday (the 18th) I wanted to pick pumpkins. We went to Gallrein Farms in Shelbyville this year. Taylor seemed to enjoy the hayride to the pumpkin patch. She liked touching them and saying, "pum-kn".

And here she is with her buddy- giving kisses!

Our good friends, Jeff and Allison Bolton, were in town to visit friends and family. They were able to have a nice dinner with us and see our new digs. Here are Taylor and Cooper watching football and eating a snack. They were once again fast pals!

Our last bit of good news. Jon and Emie passed the Kentucky BAR and are now attorneys! Here they are with Martha Lu's cousin, John Minton, Jr. (Chief Justice of KY Supreme Court)
That's it for now. We wish you all well and healthy Holidays...

Take Care! ~Megan, David, Taylor, Baby Ben, and Bailey!

The last beach trip of the year... we think!

We ventured to Destin with my parents this month. We had a wonderful time but are done with 10 hour car rides with Taylor for a while. We did try to enjoy this trip as much as we could since our next family vacation will be with two kiddos- which is still hard to believe! We did have a nice time although the weather wasn't great the entire time- we had one good day to end our trip. We hope this entry finds you well!

This little girl was great on the trip considering she is almost 17 months. David always asks why I take so many pictures of her sleeping- but this is too precious...

This picture didn't turn out too clearly- but what a good lookin' family!

She loves the water- even though the waves were rough... she can't get enough!

My lovely lady humps...

The guys...
The ladies!
Our long time neighbor from Wentworth Ave., Carrie, made the trip with us too!
We just think her walking in sand is cute!
Out to breakfast with her shades...

Us at Red Bar...
This place has been recommended to us many times by numerous people and we finally went. The food was the best we've had in Destin and the atmosphere is most entertaining... a must go!!!
We wish you well. Have a safe and relaxing weekend. Go Cards! ~Megan, Dave, Taylor, and #2

The final product!

We have finally finished our kitchen and I'd call it complete except for a few more touches of pictures on the wall and a couple knickknacks. Here it is though and we are very pleased!!!

Old Kitchen...

New Kitchen!!!

same wall...

Then...

Now!

We also have redone our master bath which was 4x6 when we moved in. We have expanded it to about a 6x8 space which will prove to be more useful!!! It turned out very nice and we can't wait to move into our new room. We are just waiting for our shower doors from Cardinal Shower Enclosures (Mark Jr.'s company).

(Work done by Vaughn's Home Improvements and we highly recommend!)

Unfortunately I did not take pictures of the master bath when we moved you I can't prove the improvement- but trust me- it is beautiful!!!

We hope all is well with you and wanted to share our home improvements with you. We are slowly but surely making it our home and enjoying it! Have a great weekend and we will write again soon! ~Megan, David, Taylor, (baby Ben), and Bailey!
