Christmas 2012!

Merry Christmas from our home to yours! We had a wonderful December 2012! We were able to see so much family, which made the Christmas season that much more meaningful.  We celebrated the Holidays in Louisville, St. Louis, and Florida... The month of January has been a nice relaxing month so far as you can imagine- but we sure did have a great time visiting family!

We had a couple odd days for December here in the Ohio Valley.  A beautiful sunny day forced us to go to the park and play in the sun.  Our monkey was up to her tricks at the park!  The monkey bars are her favorite too!

And the next day it rained and I thought this picture was too cute to pass up!

We began our travels to St. Louis the weekend before Christmas to visit Mark and Shannon and their kiddos. They hosted our family and Jon and Emie's family at their home- which was LOTS of family time!  But truly- we enjoyed our time together and it made it so special for all the cousins to be together!

 Gramma reading Christmas stories...

 Uncle Mark taking a break...

Ahh... We all got out for some drinks one night!

 Breakfast in matching PJs!

 Taylor's Christmas performance:)

Taylor asking Santa for some things for her and some things for her little brother!

My friend, Emily, started a Christmas tradition last year that Taylor was looking forward to all year.  She has several of us over to decorated Christmas sugar cookies and we love it!

Taylor and Ava at Derby Dinner Playhouse.  My friend, Erika, and I took the girls to see a play about Christmas and Princesses.  What could be better at 4 and a half?

So far we've only had one day a snow- but the kids got to play in in for a bit.  Aren't they cute?  Taylor is wearing my snow suit from when I was 4 years old:)

We went from a little snow before Christmas to the warm weather that Florida brings!  The was Ben's first plane ride and Taylor's first ride she could remember.  We flew to Florida with the help of Gramma and Grandaddy- thank goodness!
David's cousin got married married a couple days after Christmas in the Ft. Lauderdale area.  We had a great time!

Aunt Lisa took us to the park for a picnic and some sight seeing...

My iphone does not take good pictures in the dark- but the wedding was beautiful.  David and I enjoyed a night of good food and dancing sans kids thanks to Aunt Lisa!

A poor picture of the bride and groom- but they were gorgeous!

Swimming in December?  Yes please!  The kids loved the pool and took some time to swim before the big U of L vs. UK basketball game!

Gramma relaxing with Aunt Marie and Uncle Bill...

The kids in the hot tub with Aunt Carolyn and Aunt Marie!

But it wore some of us out!

 GO CARDS!

Here are the kids hanging out with Michael and Amanda after the basketball game.  They are expecting their first child in June too!

We did a little sight seeing to the everglades where The Gator Boys show takes place.
 Up close and personal...

Before we flew back home and left the warm weather behind- we all took a cruise along the Intercostal Waterway.  It did get a little chilly- but it was a beautiful cruise and the kids really enjoyed it!
 Taylor and Aunt Lisa

Here is David with Aunt Lisa and his cousin Eric...

Aunt Carolyn and Uncle Mike at dinner!

Do you recognize these kids?  We met up with our neighbors at the Orlando airport by complete chance!  The kids traveled back to Louisville together- how sweet!

And no, Ben did not feel left out because he slept the entire way from Orlando to Louisville...

 GO CARDS!!!!!

And Zac Brown Band came to Louisville again!!!  These guys put on some show- they are so talented! It's neat for David and I to actually enjoy listening to the same band... it doesn't happen often!

Phew!  You're all caught up with our happenings at this point of the year.  Ben turns 3 on Sunday the 27th and I'll have more pictures to post then.  Have a great week and stay warm.  It was 13 degrees when I dropped the kids off at school this morning- yikes!  Have a great week!

Love~Megan!

Thanksgiving

Oh My Goodness.. Did you think I had forgotten about you all?  I have had some trouble uploading my pictures and I've finally resolved the problems (with David's help).  It turns out- after 5 years of blogging, I ran out of storage and had to put my pictures out into the cyber world.  I think they are safe and my next move is to make this blog private- so be on the look out for more info!  Here are some pictures from Thanksgiving.  We had a great time!  We hosted all of David's family, his cousin Greg, my parents and all the kids.... That's a total of 16 people at our home and it was wonderful!  We are a pretty lucky family!  Unfortunately, I didn't get any pictures of this because we were cooking and hosting but it was a full house and we had lots of fun!

Aunt Marie, Virginia's sister, was in town and decorated ginger bread houses with the kids.  This is the second year Aunt Marie has come to visit and make gingerbread houses with the kids.  It is turning into quite a nice tradition!

Christmas in Cadiz, KY!  My Mom is from Cadiz, KY and we spent a weekend before Thanksgiving to celebrate Thanksgiving with Mom's side of the family.  I always forget how nice it is to be with family, until we are together.

We got in late Friday night and Saturday we took the kids to an Alpaca Farm.  This was great!  The Alpaca's came right to us and we feed them right out of our hands.  I bought some socks made out of Alpaca hair and they kept me nice and warm during our last U of L football game!

Playing peek a boo!

They love electronics!  Callie was taking their pictures and turning them into funny faces.

Callie had jewelry and Taylor wanted to wear it!

Peek a boo is the only game she knows how to play with babies!

Cadiz is in Trigg County Kentucky. Trigg County is known for their ham- therefore there is a pig in front of Cracker Barrel!

They really do love each other!

 Out with the siblings!

Dress up while waiting for the Turkey to cook!

Aunt Shannon helping Taylor with crafts...

The boys in the kitchen helping to cook???

Ben's black eye- that's what happens when cousins are all together and having too much fun!

 Special Delivery!

How we get our kicks!

Yes Ladies and Gentlemen... He is potty trained!!!

Taylor helped make his sticker chart!

This is old news now- but Aunt Emie took this picture of us.  You may have received this as your Christmas card- if not I apologize.  But yes- we are expecting another little girl in June.  This will make #3 for our family and we are very excited!  Please keep us in your prayers- we'll need them!
