This summer we took a mini vacation to Michigan City, IN on Lake Michigan. On our journey there we saw miles and miles of these huge windmills. We were amazed by this use of power.

I hope you're summer has treated you well. I've heard from some of you that it seems like our family has so much fun all the time. Don't worry folks... I usually just post the rainbows and butterflies! It is true that our family deals with our fair amount of troubles- doesn't everyone? Even though we have brought on some of our stress ourselves, I ask that you keep us in your prayers. Our new home is 114 years old. It has not been treated well over the years and I'm sure when we start opening walls we will find more problems that will need attention, which equals more money. Our current home has been on the market for 2 weeks now and you know how that game goes. We have planted our St. Joesph but I kindly ask for your prayers for the buyers of our home to appear soon. Thank you all so much:)

This is my friend Megan Hardesty. We met working at Camp Loucon in 2001. Her brother, Wade Gaynor, was playing AAA ball vs. The Bats. It was great to see her and catch up!
Ben went to Shine camp all by himself this summer. Since Taylor was a baby we have taken Music Together at Shine with Maria Whitley. He is becoming more independent and stated he wanted to go to camp this year without Taylor... and so he did! The sang songs, did a little yoga, art, and a human bubble. There is a hula hoop hiding in the baby pool that you stand in the middle of and bring the hoop up past your shoulders.

The YMCA is one of my favorite places. This is Miss Nicole. She is one of our favorites who works in childcare. They had a bubble car come on this day. The kids play while I work out (by myself!) and David plays basketball on Mondays and Wednesdays evenings after work too. The YMCA rocks!
It took these guys over an hour to set up their sales and head out to the water. I kept wondering if it was really work all the work???

Our friends, The Woestes, moved back to Louisville! They like to play Legos too!
Taylor went to camp at the Louisville Nature Center this summer. She had a great week and loved the music the most! They sang, did some yoga too, hiked, and learned lots of new things. This was also though Shine, where we take Music Together classes.
About three years ago, David and I decided we would like to moved back to Crescent Hill, where our story began. We love our neighborhood we live in now, but we miss walking to restaurants, coffee shops, book stores, the Library, and other fun things. We talked about "what ifs" for a long time. Then we made a list of streets we'd like to live on, found a realtor, and our search began about 6 months ago. We finally found the home that we were looking for two blocks from where our story began. Some say we are crazy, and we may be, but we're going all in!
So, when your house is on the market and you have 3 kids and a dog that must vacate the premises, you get creative! Ice Cream anyone???
And while we're out... Bailey is dirty and needs a bath. Um Molly, that is a brush for a dog baby:)

This is just a house right now. The meaning of "fixer upper" rings true in this case. It is a duplex and we have our work cut out for us but over time, we hope to breath life into this house and make it our home.
The back yard is much smaller than our current back yard and this is a good thing. I'll continue to update pictures and take you through our journey if you wish.
