Out with the Old and in with the New!

Greetings All!  I am writing you from our new home.  The downstairs floors just got a second coat of polyurethane and our house is quite smelly!  It is 50 degrees outside but I have every window open that is not painted shut.  October 24th we moved into the second floor of our home.  All 5 of us are pretty much living in a 3 bedroom apartment with one bathroom.  We do have a kitchen on the second floor which is a game changer.  It really isn't all that bad and I like being nice a cozy during this colder months.  We hope to start painting in the next week and slowly move our furniture downstairs.  Our kitchen "should" be installed the week of December 9th so our hope is to have Christmas dinner at our new home... we shall see!  We have lots of boxes in the garage and an attic that need to be unpacked but slowly and surely we will return to the land of the living with a beautiful home and routine!

Hanging out at Homemade Pie Kitchen during our last showing for 2312. The house has not sold yet but we continue to be positive.  Please keep us in your prayers.  Putting a positive spin on things... I no longer have to clean a house with 3 kids and dog under foot.  I no longer have to clean the house and get the dog out of the way.  David and I no longer have to get the house spic and span for an Open House!!!  Speaking of an open house- there is one this Sunday from 2-4pm. Tell everyone you know...  No really- please tell everyone you know:)

Moving Day calls for McDonald's breakfast before school!

Halloween Shenanigans!
Taylor's school had a Halloween/Fall Festival
She is feeling bugs, brains, and vampire teeth!

Here is the gang with Mrs. Carter,  Mrs. Carter was Taylor's teacher the first part of the year.  Now- after switching to a new school for first grade and moving to a new house- she has a new teacher too.  Mrs. Carter was great but left to teach at the performing arts middle school.  Taylor is a champion and has dealt so well considering so many changes for such a young sweet gal.

They never stay still so my pictures are always blurry

Ben getting his hair sprayed with red and blue color.

There is a street in Crescent Hill, Hillcrest Ave., that goes all out for Halloween.  It is super scary!

Ben's Halloween Party

So- weeks ago Ben decided he was going to be a Red Power Ranger for Halloween.  So I got on Amazon and ordered the Red Power Ranger costume with matching white gloves that he just had to have and I ordered Jessie from Toy Story for Taylor.  Two days after I spent $50 on Halloween costumes we go to a consignment sale.  Ben finds a Jake and the Neverland Pirates costume for $3.00 and says, "Mom, I want to be Jake for Halloween instead."  Me- "Seriously Son..."

Jessie the Cowgirl (with a 103 fever and missed school on Halloween Day.  But like any good Mom I pumped her up with medicine so her fever would drop and sent her out to trick or treat for a couple houses:)  A sweet Ladybug, and the infamous Red Power Ranger.  Ben decided to wear it for the big day but wore his Jake costume for his school party and trick or treating at Gramma and Grandaddy's.

My dear sweet friend Ashley let me tag along for Paul McCartney last week.  He was AMAZING!  Do you know he is 72, has an 11 year old daughter, and rocks out until 11pm at night?

Ben with "Jingle" his class mascot.  This past weekend was Jingle's care taker:)

Mark and Virginia have helped us SO much with our yard.  Like our home, it will be a labor of love but it has come such a LONG way with their help!

We need all the help we can get!

Is this adorable or what?  Did you know they made bathrobes this tiny?

So there you have it... The starts of our new home.  It feels like home and it feels good to be here... When the weather gets warm, come sit on our porch with us.  We'll be here!

I wanted to send a special congratulations to David's cousin Marilyn in Texas.  She and her hubby, Jeff, just welcomed their first son!  Please pray that baby Luca is healthy and eats well.

Warm wishes to you all!  ~Megan!
