Snow Days and Birthdays!

Ben is now 6! His count down to his birthday has come and gone and now he can't wait for #7... but I can wait:)  We have had 3 snow days so far- I'm not sure they were really warranted but we enjoyed them all the same.  We are doing well, still working on our home- lots of construction and projects are going on all the time.

My Mom has been sewing with the kids.  They have made pillow cases and blankets.

Because every boy needs a mohawk at some point...

This is how Bailey spends her snow days...

Once a year Katy, my best friend from college, go to Nashville for the weekend.  We always visit our friends Aaron and Dave.  They are the best tour guides!

Snow days are pretty fun!

Molly said "Bay-ee is cold!"

Snow day lunch and a movie after a brisk walk to the Library

What- don't you sleep with your super hero mask???

Driving in my good old Jeep from high school- on our way to sledding!
(Pay no attention to the way my children are buckled up.  We are breaking several safety laws but those laws were not in place in 1995.  We only drove 4 blocks:)

We found our neighbors there!

All done...

Snow Ball fight... kids vs. Dads!

I brought Ben's class hot doughnuts for his #6- they were a hit!

By chance- a Zoo Keeper was visiting the classroom!

Ben got to pick his dance song to rock out to! His teacher has Just Dance- which is a program/ game that has people dancing on the screen and the kids try to follow their moves
.
Ben picked Five Guys for his birthday dinner.  He is 6 years old and only in the 3rd percent tile for his age in height and weigh so we welcome hamburgers for him any time!

Happy Birthday to a boy who loves to run fast, irritate his sisters any chance he gets, and loves his Legos!
Every now and then we clean up well:)

These two have been best buds for 20 years.
Time has been good to them!

She reading chapter books by the week now.  It is pretty cool watching your kids grow up and learn new things!

Molly steals my phone and takes pictures now all the time:)

 Ben's Lego Birthday Party!

Taylor's class was chosen to perform with the 3rd grades in an Orff performance for Kentucky Music Educators Association at the Convention Center in Louisville.  They did great!

Cuddles... I think

more cuddles...

"Daddy, come into my Castle with me!"

Hosing around...

I hope they always love each other:)

Last night the Taylor and Ben were horsing around and she ended up with a gash on her head and a nice goose egg on her forehead. After she calmed down Ben said, "Sorry about the Taylor- but that stuff happens to me all the time..."  She is just fine.  He head is healing but just in case her goose egg was noticeable she wore an extra thick head band over her bump on so no one would ask about it... She's a character!

I hope all is well with you and yours.  I'm on my way to put Molly down for a nap to which she replies to me, "Tomorrow we can do that Mommy.  I not tired..."  Yes Molly- tomorrow you will nap as well.

Love to all and stay warm!
~Megan
